Biggest IT companies in Poland in 2024 – results of ITwiz Best100 ranking
According to IDC Poland, the ICT market in Poland in 2024 was worth $25.73 billion. This represents a slight increase of just over 1 percent compared to $25.42 billion in 2023. Such weak growth was mainly due to the slump in the IT hardware market. The IT market alone (excluding telecommunications services) was worth about $19.13 billion ($18.96 billion a year earlier).
In PLN terms – due to the weakening of the dollar – the ICT market saw a decline to PLN 102.43 billion, compared to PLN 106.83 billion by 2023. For the IT market alone, the figures are PLN 76.15 billion and PLN 79.67 billion, respectively.
Key segments of the IT market in Poland
According to IDC Poland, the value of the IT equipment market in Poland last year was $9.39 billion ($10.03 billion by 2023). However, software sales increased by about 13% to $5.17 billion ($4.57 billion) and IT services sales increased by about 5% to $4.56 billion ($4.36 billion).
As a result, IT hardware’s share of the total IT market fell from 53% in 2023 to 49% in 2024. If I remember correctly, it accounts for less than 50% of the market for the first time. In contrast, the shares of software and IT services increased, from 24% to 27% and from 23% to 24%, respectively.
Improving sentiment in the IT industry
According to our surveys, IT industry sentiment has improved significantly in 2024. Significantly more companies felt that the business climate in the IT market in Poland was better or much better (33% of respondents) than worse or much worse (19%). For 38 percent, it remained unchanged.

IT companies entered the new year in an even better mood. Already 55% of them consider the business climate in 2025 to be better or much better than in 2024, with only 8% of organizations considering it worse. The remaining 37% say it is the same.
Polish IT companies continue to increase employment, and more than in 2023 (52% of responses compared to 47%). About 19% of Polish IT companies had to reduce employment (like 2023). At the same time, 70% of respondents declared that wages had increased at their companies, while only 1% had decreased.
Leaders according to the „ITwiz Best 100” report.
The entire IT market is, as we have already mentioned, worth about PLN 76 billion according to IDC Poland, of which IT hardware accounts for PLN 37.39 billion, software for PLN 20.6 billion and IT services for $18.16 billion. Meanwhile, the revenue of all, 349 companies that appear in this year’s ITwiz Best 100 report is more than PLN 115 billion (PLN 114 billion a year earlier). Although of course – as we have been emphasizing for years – this is not equivalent to the value of the Polish IT market!

We believe that simply adding up the revenues of the participants in our ranking has nothing to do with the size of the entire IT market in Poland. This is because the same commodity passes „from hand to hand” several times, e.g. from a distributor (the largest ones always dominate the top 10) or directly from a vendor to an integrator who delivers it to the end customer. Often, somewhere in between, there is also a reseller.
To summarize our ranking, we emphasize each time that the state of the entire IT industry is largely determined by the group of 50-100 largest companies. To qualify as one of the 50 largest companies in Poland in 2023, you had to achieve revenues of PLN 495.5 million (PLN 482 million in 2023)! The figure for the top 100 of the „ITwiz Best 100” list was PLN 245 million (PLN 247 million).
According to the „ITwiz Best 100” ranking, the revenues of the top 50 IT companies in 2023 amounted to PLN 80.9 billion (PLN 79.4 billion), or more than 100% of the value of the entire IT market valued by IDC at PLN 76 billion. The revenues of the top 100 are already over PLN 98 billion.
The first 10 of the ITwiz Best 100 ranking
The leader of the Polish market, the distributor AB, generated a turnover from the sale of IT products and services of PLN 8.23 billion in 2024 (a decrease of 8% compared to 2023). Although, at this point, I must add that the distributors once again will not separate the data for the ICT market only.
